Note we do not typically provide ongoing representation or advocacy, and you are responsible for meeting any deadlines related to your issue.

We provide advice in many but not all areas of law. If we are not able to provide advice to you, we will refer you to another organization if possible.

This appointment will connect you with one of our lawyers to help with identifiation (ID) related issues such as:

  • changing your legal name
  • changing your legal gender marker
  • updating your health care, driver's license, passport, or other ID
  • ask questions related to updating ID without necessarily making a change

This appointment provides a letter of recommendation from our counsellors, to support your medical access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

We now require you to have a supportive primary care provider (PCP) before requesting an assessment. This PCP can be a doctor, registered nurse, endocrinologist, or anyone who is willing to prescribe and who we can send the assessment to. A PCP may be your regular provider, or someone you see at a walk-in or virtual clinic. For additional information or support connecting with a primary care provider, please contact TransCareBC.

We are no longer able to provide assessments for some surgeries: phalloplasty, metoidioplasty, erectile release, vaginoplasty, and vulvoplasty. For these surgeries, please contact TransCareBC for next steps.

At this time, we are not accepting more requests for ADHD assessments. We need more money to keep offering this program and help the people who are already waiting. If you already asked for an appointment, we will contact you as soon as we can schedule one.

If you want an ADHD assessment, you have a few options. You can pay $300 to Parhar for a private assessment. Or you can ask your doctor or nurse practitioner to refer you for an assessment, but be aware that there is a long wait list for this option.

Part 2 — Your Information

Please provide the name and pronouns you would like us to use for you. You can update this any time, and we will not ask for your legal name except when necessary to provide a service (like a legal name change).

Part 3 — Confirm & Submit

Please review your answers carefully before submitting.
