Legal advice means we will listen to you about your situation and let you know what we think you should do.
We provide advice in many but not all areas of law. If we are not able to provide advice to you, we will refer you to another organization if possible.
Note we do not typically provide ongoing representation or advocacy, and you are responsible for meeting any deadlines related to your issue.
This appointment provides a letter of recommendation from our counsellors, to support your medical access to hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
We now require you to have a supportive primary care provider (PCP) before requesting an assessment. This PCP can be a doctor, registered nurse, endocrinologist,
or anyone who is willing to prescribe and who we can send the assessment to. A PCP may be your regular provider, or someone you see at a walk-in or virtual clinic.
Due to limited resources, our assessments are reserved for those unable to afford a private assessment (about $300).
For support connecting with a paid assessor or primary care provider, please contact TransCareBC.
At this time, we are not accepting more requests for ADHD assessments. We need more money to keep offering this program and help the people who are already waiting. If you already asked for an appointment, we will contact you as soon as we can schedule one.
If you want an ADHD assessment, you have a few options. You can pay $300 to Parhar for a private assessment. Or you can ask your doctor or nurse practitioner to refer you for an assessment, but be aware that there is a long wait list for this option.
